Malleyuu during the main story

You know what would be funny?

If Malleus and Yuu started dating at some point during the main story (imagine if they met a lot more than what we see in the books) before Book 5, maybe a little after or before Winter Break, so when the Malleus Draconia reveal occurs, everyone's even more flabbergasted.

Yuu: I invited my boyfriend to the SDC

Ace/Deuce/Grim: You have a boyfriend?

~After Vil's Overblot~

Ace: You call Malleus Draconia 'Hornton?'

Yuu: Well he is my boyfriend.

Deuce: You're dating the Malleus Draconia?

(if Malleus didn't tell Yuu his name yet)

Yuu: Is that his name?

Ace: Wait, you started dating him without knowing his name?

(if Malleus did tell Yuu his name or Yuu figured it out on their own)

Yuu: Yeah, so?

And then when Malleus fixes the coliseum, Yuu rushes him with a hug, or maybe Yuu decided to hug Malleus when he arrived, who knows, and asks him to bend down a little for them, which gives everyone a heart attack, and they kiss, which also give everyone a heart attack.

If they were dating during the events and no one knew other than the SDC group, it would be funny. The reveal of the magicless human, Yuu, who's arguably the weakest person on campus, dating one of the strongest mages in the world, Malleus Draconia, would be hilarious.

Oh my god, I just saw a reddit about this and realized this. I know there are people still being angry at Rook for losing the VDC for choosing RSA. But whoever said that Malleus never voted for the VDC on book 5, THEY ARE ACTUALLY RIGHT!

Rook was a tie breaker because of MALLEUS!

Malleus never voted at all. It may look like he's voting, but you can only hear one ding, and you can tell it's from Lilia. You can see his sprite how he looks like he's in deep thought, or at least doesn't know what to do. I find this funny because it makes sense for Malleus since he doesn't understand technology. But if he actually voted, it would have actually been a tie or a win for NRC because of Rook.

I know it’s been a long time now since book 5 came out, but the more time that passes and the more I reflect back on it, the more desperately I want to see slice-of-life content of the SDC crew’s time living in Ramshackle.

I want to see Vil and Jamil acting like tired parents when the first years and Kalim do or say something stupid! I want to see Kalim being included in typical first year shenanigans! I want to see Rook enabling their stupid ideas because he finds their enthusiasm and friendship beautiful!

Like, imagine them all sitting around the dinner table when one of the first years makes an inappropriate joke and at first everyone’s suppressing their laughter to avoid Vil’s glare, but after glancing around at each other, the giggles slip out and escalate into a full blown laughing fit!

I just really want to see them all acting like a sitcom family, y’know??!

Headcanon? Basically how I imagine Vil felt post VDC. Like I understand that Rook was just being true to himself and being honest, and in reality Neige's group performed better, but I just cant help but think about how heartbroken and betrayed Vil must have felt😔 like Rook was his biggest supporter, and Vil put in so much effort to try to surpass Neige, but at the end of the day even the person he trusted the most chose Neige over him😭

It's like no matter how hard he tries, he'll always be second place..

What I really can't get over is how the reason why they lost was directly because of Vil's actions. If he didn't let his paranoia and anxiety get the best of him, if he didnt give up before he even tried, if he didn't overblot and exhaust the team before they could perform— they probably would have won.

This song is just so Vil and Neige coded that I had to make a reel for it. Honestly, I would love to eventually make a full animatic for this song as I have lots of ideas for it. I wanted to try something different with this reel and I went for a sketchy pencil approach, which I really enjoyed! I’m currently working on and Idia and Ortho piece that I hope to post later tonight or tomorrow, so look forward to it! ✨

I'm playing Book 5 right now and my two idiots managed to make it through the auditions I'm so proud of them, hope they give us some of the prize money so we can afford Grim's next meal for the semester <3
